Benefits of PHP
Get The Help You Need
Healing is not linear. Neither is substance abuse recovery. That’s why it is important that we provide customized care for what you need when you need it. At Drug Rehab Ohio, our Partial Hospitalization Program meets you exactly where you are. This means you can get the treatment and support you need, no matter the place in your healing or recovery journey.
What is PHP?
A PHP or Partial Hospitalization Program is a strategic step between residential treatment and an outpatient program within addiction care. It allows for the gradual transition from 24/7 surveillance and to a care level with increased freedom and responsibility. This is available while maintaining consistent treatment and guidance.
Our PHP allows individuals to receive care most days of the week for up to six hours per day and return home or to their sober living environment in the evening. Most therapies and treatments provided during residential treatment are available in our PHP and allow patients access to extensive addiction treatment while experiencing a level of independence.
Who is a Good Candidate for a PHP in Ohio?
A Partial Hospitalization Program is not for everyone but can be an ideal solution for the right candidate. If you or a loved one resonate with the following characteristics, you may be a great fit for a PHP program near you:
You Require Medical Supervision
If a patient has a dual diagnosis (are actively suffering from an addiction and a mental health disorder simultaneously), a Partial Hospitalization Program ensures consistent access to medical care while exercising small doses of independence to treat their unique condition effectively.
You Have Stable Housing and Transportation
Stable housing, reliable transportation, and a supportive home environment are all key components to a successful PHP. This will allow individuals to reliably attend scheduled therapy appointments and medical appointments, and receive the support and care they need when they are not at the addiction treatment facility.
You are Not Yet Ready for Outpatient Care
Recovery happens at different rates for different people. Because of this, it is imperative that patients are realistic with their struggles and their goals. For some, intensive outpatient programs provide the ideal level of care. For others, more accountability and an increased level of support are imperative for achieving lasting sobriety.
What are the Benefits of a PHP?
Increased Levels of Support
For those who have completed a residential program and would benefit from additional group therapy, one on one therapy, or support groups in a controlled environment, PHPs provide an incredible solution. Our team of experts can help advise what type of program will best fit your needs.
Regular Access to Medical Care
For those working on getting medication at the appropriate level or needing medical care, Partial Hospitalization Programs allow more access to medical professionals than an outpatient program. This allows for consistent check-ins and follow-ups necessary during the healing process.
Extended Therapy and Specialty Programs
Treating the root of the cause through mental health services such as one on one therapy and group therapy is a key belief of the Recovery Institute of Ohio. Partial Hospitalization Programs provided an increased opportunity to attend therapy, along with life skills development, employment assistance, education assistance, art and music therapy, and more.
A Step Towards Independence
A PHP is specially designed to allow an increased level of freedom and responsibility while receiving treatment. This is often the first step towards total independence and lifelong sobriety.
